  This man was, by far, the WORST psychiatrist I've ever been to. I came to him with crippling anxiety caused by postpartum & severe grief from the death of my mother. This man put me on 1 bipolar medication that took 3 months to kick in and because he refused to try putting me on anything else, my "baby-daddy" left me & Dr. Wei discharged me as a patient after only about 6-8 weeks. His words were, "I can't help you so you can't be a patient here anymore." I stayed on the medication he gave me and 4 weeks later it finally kicked in.
  All this man did was try ONE medication, gave me nothing to cope with the anxiety, even though I called him several times begging for either a different med or, an additional med, so that I could function well enough to care for my newborn child and save my family. Had he tried ANYTHING else, I wouldn't currently be in a custody battle 4 years later. He quit trying and knowing the medication he put me on could take up to 3 months, he didn't even stick around long enough to see if it was enough or whether I needed a higher dose. I was told by a QUALIFIED MD that, usually, people need another mood stabilizer in addition to what he put me on &, putting me on a low dose of a fast-acting anti-anxiety, temporarily, would've helped until the medication was fully functional. He also never informed me that the med he subscribed could also cause a deadly rash & to keep an eye out for any marks.
  Because of his poor judgement & lack of sympathy and medical expertise, I felt the loss of my mother, rejection by my own psychiatrist AND the loss of my brand new family. He ruined my life 4 years ago and I'm still picking up the pieces. Although, now, I'm doing MUCH MUUUUCH better. I went back to college, I'm going for my BA in Forensic psychology, & because of *me*, my son is the most polite, caring, affectionate & loving little boy. I'm even looking into sperm donors so that I can have another child & give my son a sibling to play with!
  So, what ever you do, don't go to this quitter. He could destroy your life.
